  • Has anyone ever put gauges or made a gauge pod where the dash clock would go?

      • I was thinking about a cleaner look actually using the stock piece and maybe glassing it to be a little taller and hold 2 gauges. Maybe I will give it a try when I actually need a boost gauge and a pyrometer gauge after my motor swap.

              • Here are some pics the guy sent me of the engine. It is supposed to have 35k miles on it. I guess it has been sitting in the guy basement for a few years.

What do you guys think? Worth $200 for a turbo build?
Anyone see anything wrong with it in the pics? Anything I should look out for?

                    • Looks like a deal to me. I have those pics in my email too. I was going to look at it last leek, but I didn't get up there. Not the greatest cell phone pics, but even so I'm thinking 135K. No way to know for sure. Just that it should pretty darn clean. The odometers those cars returned to zero at 100k. Still not bad. See if he'll take $150. That what I paid for mine + computer and I listen to it run right before we took it out of the car. Odo said 11k, but then it wasn't really 11k or even 111k it had to be 211 by the body. Then I noticed junkyard type markings on things on the motor so who really knows. Point being I guess, They don't make them any more and where ya gonna get one? When they're gone they're gone, and if someone took the time too save it it must have been good. You should get it.

                      • do these engines have vin numbers stamped on them? Maybe if they do I will run the vin# after I pick it up tomorrow just for some piece of mind.
