The phantom grip I put in was a real phantom grip not a custom one I had made up, the only thing I wish I would have done was installed new diff bearings, I plan on stripping g out the guts of my EGT tranny and putting them in my spare V6 tranny so I'll put in new bearings with that one

well hp and tq are different... you could have just as much tq at a lower rpm as the 300 hp guy had. I mainly mean the custom phantom grip and the diff bearings and axle seals.

The way I see it is the 4 cyl diff is still a G series diff, there's minimal differences in the spider gears but not enough to effect the strength of it so it will hold up just the same as the V6 diff would
Besides there's been a festiva here with 300whp on a G series tranny and it held up no problem and that's more power then what I'm running so that also tells me my diff will hold up

I'm really curious as to how the 4cyl diff performs!
I may have found another aspire to drive daily, which means i'll be taking my time again and getting an SPI escort trans (97+) to swap the guts into my 626 case, and a 323GT/XR2 IM shaft to go with your old axles I still have.

Today I messed around with the idling issue a little bit and I think my TPS is the problem, it seemed to be ay out of adjustment like it's been telling the ECU that it's at wide open throttle, I'm going to do a bit more messing around with it and hopefully it'll idle nicely for meLast edited by Damkid; 03-31-2010, 02:02 PM.

in my old aspire i put a bp turbo auto trans... but you V6 festy is ... LLLLOOOOOLLLLLL
