    • Took a week off for the holidays. Have been mocking up the mounts and doing some house keeping to get ready for installation. Drilled out shifter holes in Festy to make room for Protege shifter. Its a little nicer and will work better with the swap. Cleaned up the distributor and put on the new cap. Did some parts cleaning and prep work for the cold air intake we are going to fab. Finished installing the rear interior panels and rounting the battery under the carpet in the hatch.

We are hoping (fingers crossed) to get a full day in on Saturday.

What still needs to be done:
      Custom mounts and front support
      Shifter
      Cable clutch conversion
      Cold air intake
      Brake lines
Rear mounted battery box and connectors
      Rear seat installation
      Front axles
      Alternator and belt
      Valve cover
      Fuel lines and vacuum hoses
      Coolant hoses
      ECU and wiring harness
      Speedo cable
      Throttle cable
      Plugs & wires
      Filters & fluids
      Wipers and washer lines

      Extras to get done:
      Sound system install
      - 4 x 6.5 speakers
      - 700watt 4 channel amp
      - 2 x 10 subs
      - 1000watt mono block amp
      - Kewood headunit
      - Crossover
      - Cap
      Power lock conversion
      Tint
      Alarm
      Hood pins
      Rear top mount antenna (shorty)
      Rat Rod side mirrors
      GPS Navigation
      Tachometer

      • Got passenger side mount adapter built. Also, filled the rubber bushing with window sealant. This is supposed to add stability and make the mount more rigid. Will take some pics tonight.

        • PS Frame Support

We got the frame re-supported on the PS and the DS support cut out. Just need to weld, grind and paint it.

No not particle board...its just like peg board but without the holes...the exact product they use to make door panels just a little thicker. They sell it at Home Depot and Lowes.

Your gonna enjoy that motor. Still easy to work on (more room than a bp) and lot's of torque.

                      • I really like the idea of getting rid of the crossmember. First time I've seen more detailed pics of the mounting system. Thanks!

                        • Started making the clutch cable adapter last night. We are converting from hydro to cable clutch. Pics coming soon. Also modified the throttle cable bracket on the swap motor to work with the feisty cable. Works great and leaves room for adjustment.
