Matt, i responded to your other thread about the adapter, shoot me a PM about a price on one please

And Arty, i hate body work and the stock IC's are junk, so i won't be adding any hood scoops i'll just convert it to run a FMIC, most likely using Matt's adapter

Today I went to the junkyard and picked up a throttle cable, and you won't believe but I picked up a festiva cable, and it actually bolted up dam near perfect, only thing I had to do was modify the mounting bracket

And I also got the exhaust made up, but I didn't get to finishing up the coolant system, so tomorrow hopefully

With the exhaust now on it, i can rev it up without worrying about pissing off the neighbours and i've found an issue that needs to be fixed... i'm thinking a fuel issue, potentially just not enough gas in it (the gauges is right on "E" lol) but i'd like some other input for different ideas in case it's not a fuel issue

Here's a vid of whats its doing, it'll rev up just fine on a fresh start up, but then seem like a rev limiter but at varying RPM's

But DAM i am loving the sound of this thing lol

So i'm finally feeling well enough to work on the P5 today, i got the heater core hoses on and filled up the rad with anti-freeze etc. and i STILL have that running issue

There are NO vacuum leaks, all grounds are connected, even a few extra grounds for good measure, it idles extrememly good, but just won't rev up except on fresh start up

I am officially confused as to WTF is going on with it, i can only assume the computer gets put into "safe" mode after the first few seconds of running due to not getting a signal from somewhere on the millenia itself, and i have no idea what the hell it could be.... does anyone have any ideas?

                      • more likely it's a fuel flow issue (or more to the point, volume or flow control) i'll assume that you're using the same pump from the KL swap.

                        • Do you really think its a lack of fuel supply with no load on the engine???

The pump should be more then sufficient for neutral revs

                          • If it keeps up & you cant get it.Scan us a wiring diaghram. My brain works better when i can see & read stuff. Its obvious you know wiring thats no doubt. But right from the get go,I was thinking I wonder how the abs is afffected by this swap? Did the Millenium have ABS? And if its not "seeing it" could that be throwing a code? Keep up the good work, glad ur feeling better!
Some people like to read fiction,I prefer to read repair manuals. Weird I know-

                            • I know the abs crap on the protege is separate from the engine harness, so I can only assume the millennia was the same way.... So I'm not saying your wrong, but I doubt it's the problem

But I do have the wiring diagrams in an email and will gladly pass them along for a different perspective lol shoot me a pm with your email addy and I'll pass them along

                              • you did eliminate a few things right? I remember the pile of wiring in that pic but I don't recall if you listed what you got rid of. hopefully nothing wrong there but of course you know what's what and what you need.

no chance you have a scanner or could borrow on from someone to see if you have any codes coming up. I'm not much help to that technical of an issue!! besides, two good cars should have made one good car.
