PS - How hard is it to pull the dash? Think I could pull it and put it back in within a couple hours?

If you want to pull the wire and pin from the plug, get a safety pin and bend it open, then take a good long look at the plug from the wire side and identify the lock tab. You can push the wire in, disengage the lock, then slide the wire and safety pin out at the same time.
Because this is so easy, I basically never solder wiring in cars where I have to do loom work.

Pulled the wire harness out of the EGT for the VICs wire, also the fourth disty wire. Not sure how to get them out of and add them to the yellow plugs yet though. I guess the plugs open up somehow, or do you just pull the wire from the plugs and insert in the other ? Pulled the dash and installed the ECU.

those protege rims were mine at one time. I love that look Marcus, go that route.

As a general, which rim do you like the most, the first ones, but the second set of rims look better on your Festy IMO. Either way its gonna look good!

The top photo shows 14" Miata rims with the new Michleins, right?
And the lower photo has the Egt 15s?
I'd vote for the rims in the lower photo for your flagship Fantastiva. A new set of 45 series tires would be over the top on those.
Regarding the remote filter idea; I didn't realize you had a thermostatic cooler set up on there. The filter is going to be a tight fit back there. You could add a remote filter if you have room to locate it AND the oil cooler core. That would be a whole lot of oil at each oil change. I'd guess 7 quarts.
I'll post some pics of the remote filter on my sammy (but not today).Last edited by BigElCat; 04-25-2012, 06:16 PM.

partial to the egt wheels. Had a set on my civic for awhile, but they're HEAVY

I guess the 15" EGT wheels and tires are an option on this project. What do you think looks the best ?
