    Yes! Used foil many times. As for my bay, a little paint on some wires wont hurt. I have most wires bungee'd up out of the way, the rest...who cares! :p

    I made sure not to coat any connectors

    Looking good, little tip for future reference.. aluminum foil works great for masking off odd shaped things for painting, such as all the parts in the bay you don't want painted.

    My hood is painted dark gray...the rear spoiler's going to match the hood.


    The rest of the car is going to be a shade of blue real close to GeorgeB's, maybe a tad darker.


    The engine bay will have to stay red for a long while.

    They dont get hot, any paint will work. 90% of a paint job is in the prep.
    I use Rustoleum. I compared Rustoleum vs Krylon over the years, and I just dont like Krylon. It isnt as shiny, and doesnt seem as tough. Just me.

    What color scheme are you gonna do?
