Are those 13's on front? I can see the stock rims on back.
13's all around, back wheels unsure what they are, think they might be colt steelies.

      Today's work!

Took a few things off the car I didn't care for being there...

      Removed the cruise control

On the list of things to do is relocate the battery or get a smaller so I can run a better intake set up and clean things up more under the hood.

Not a fan of pedal covers, so they went.

      Started stripping the interior.

Carpet had seen much better days, so I pitched it and put in a better one I had.

Also ended up swapping out all the seats for better ones! Luckily I had a full set of matching 90' L+ ones I saved from a parts car.

      Old...

      The new!

Door panels are in great shape so I left them be.

Interior is back to the shape I want it to be almost, just need to find a LX console to put in it, and a factory radio. I want to keep the inside just nice and clean with only a few subtle changes here and there. Different steering wheel later on, short shifter.

Big improvement On the exterior.. plans are to:
      -Fix rust and dents, repaint.
      -Factory spoiler (U.S.)
      -FG hood from Junspeed
      -Rear tail finisher
      -Euro tails
      -"Open" style grill.
      -Ernst front lip
-VX wheels once I get it swapped.

      Big plans for this one!

God that hurts. What are you gonna go with the cruise? Took me years to piece that together, would love to have it back?

Nice job on the booster hose. I searched like crazy for that piece off a Protege.

                  Just looking, and admiring.
So am I to believe that the firewall didn't have to get bashed in order to get the engine in place? That would be good news.
And is this B8 mated to a Festy transmission or is it the Protege tranny?

Firewall has been bashed in just barely by the intake, it's a tight fit back there. Festiva trans, I didn't do the swap myself, Kingfish did.

Needed to bash a bit. I heavyhanded it. A lighter touch would look better. \

I unraveld the vam wires and put it in stock location, with a lightweight. Battery on its side in its stock location. You can add 3inch pipe of pod type filters from there

Can anyone tell me what to expect for 0-60mph on swaps like this? Some anal canal nearly ran me off the road today just to prove to his Mazda MPV full of 16-18 year old females that he could 'blow the doors off a Festiva' in a merge lane.
I really don't have complaints about my B3 and it winds out quite nicely through the manual gears, when provoked, (and today's situation didn't qualify) but I'm curious as to what a B6 or B8 can do when it's motivated.

Haven't timed it yet but it is quick when you get on it, I love the powerband of it! Very nice response, driving on the interstate is awesome now doesn't even break a sweat cruising at 70-80 mph, and pulling up to speed on the onramps is easy.
