  • Dude, this build is going pretty awesome so far. I'm hoping within the next 6 months
to be moving into a house with a garage where I can do this to mine as well, but yours
is giving me a lot of ideas

    • Fourgreen order arrived this morning...

Most will go on the project but some will go into inventory for future use.

      • Nice bits n pieces!
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

              • Do you have the part number on the hatch vent? How do you replace it? Mine was crushed and missing gasket.

                • You just push it in. Or pull it out first then push it back in. I swear I just saw how that looked, and it's the only way I can explain it.

Oh, and there are nubs on the edges of the outward facing end that you just pry inward to release it. But beyond that it's just pull it out and push it back in. And it'll pop into place. I used silicone around my original parts to seal it. My gaskets were gone too.

Sketchman has it right! They are a little awkward to get out but I think that's partly because it's not a part that would typically be removed.

                    Here's the part numbers:

                    Right side: MD00151920A
                    Left side: MD00151940A

                    Hope that helps

                        • Now that the dash is out, you can install a mirror image ECU plate on the passenger side for future consideration (i.e. power locks, car alarm, talking horn, fade out delay, et al).

                          • I've been considering wheel options for the project car. Try to imagine these on the aqua car and possibly painted white...

They are 15×6.5 with a +35 offset. I would running smaller tires than the 205-50r15 that are on them now, most likely a 165-50R15.

                            What do you think?

If the dual pattern is 4 on 4-1/2 by 4 on 100mm, it is a no brainer!
