You need a BP VAF and ecu. Don't know what else, what's it doing?

I do have a bp vaf. And the ecu? With a shot of throttle body cleaner it starts up for a second and dies. With out the vaf it starts right up with no problem at all

It should start up for a second and die without a VAF, sounds like you have exactly the opposite problem! Check over the swap thread and make sure you didn't miss anything.

Looked today and it starts after about 20 seconds of it cranking over then it revs up then idles normal then just puts out and if you hit the throtle it dies enstently. I also got vacume line plugs! Not the colorfull kinds thow..

fuel maps will be way different, your going from a 63 horsepower engine to a 130 horse engine. you have to have the bp electronics or the car will not run right, and if it runs good enough to drive it won't be putting out as much power as it should. The issues seem like they are probably due to the VAF in general. The car should NOT run if it's not plugged in and hooked up to the throttle body, granted it should fire up for a split second then die. If you have used or are using ether the only thing making it run is leftover fumes. You need to go back through and figure out what went wrong and where. Vacuum leaks will also cause the car to do funny things so get all open ports plugged before you try to fire it up. If you keep trying to make it work without things hooked up properly your probably gonna do some damage to the engine before you even get to drive it.

This is why my BP swap is taking so long, aspire wiring is so different the entire car had to be rewired. At least with a festiva most of the stock wiring can be used.
