  • One of the EVO's (7 maybe?) master cylinders bolts onto that booster. It requires a small shim I think. But the bores available are MASSIVE (1 3/16" or something like that)

I was looking into doing this for my GTXR2 to re-balance the braking system after upgrading the calipers

    • Don't forget to install the long stainless brake lines after you pull the engine. That's the only time you can do it with the transmission cradle out of the way. You can install the other ones later.

      • Nickle/copper brake lines for me. Plus they'll fit the build better.

        • Radiator and engine mounted. The Radiator sits right on top of the lower rad support. I modified and welded the stock lower rad brackets to the support. Works perfectly. It now sits completely on rubber bumpers. The BP and manifold in the pics are just for mock-up. The permanent engine, with only 28,xxx miles, is currently in my DD and almost ready to be pulled and shipped out for a full build. And of course the relief cut in the upper rad support and frame notch will get properly welded back in place.

All 3 mounts are 100% custom and put the engine WAY forward and as low as the '93 Auto cross-member will allow without major cutting and strength reduction. The passenger mount bracket is spaced back 1.125". The new rubber is stock Festiva but will have Window-Weld in place at a later date. All 3 mounts will look stock when they get powder-coated.

The lower rad hose fitting is getting cut off, welded closed, and relocated to the side for a straight line to the water pump. The rad brackets are a temporary first trial fit. I will probably end up using a single 90* bend per bracket to hold it in place instead of 3 bends.

                • Got these today. They are being shipped out to the engine builder. The engine was delivered 2 weeks ago. A whole lots of crap is being done with it, and I do mean a LOT. It will end up with a 3" exhaust and a 75-80mm throttle body off of a newer Chevy truck if that gives any idea.

This is some of the work I have been doing to the engine bay. I modified the upper radiator support to fit the Civic Radiator into place while being able to get to the cap. Then I welded it in place and walla !!! done. I am currently fixing all the seams in the engine bay to make it look much smoother so when it is painted it will have that nice "Show Car" appeal

I got my Tein's back from them several weeks ago. They revalved them based on Charlies recommendations. Then I sent the rears out to him for his rear shock mod and hopefully a couple other things

Finally heard from my Cousin (she is reupholstering the seats). She has had them since February but is actually nearing completion on them. I gave her a good kickstart since she is expecting in January and I know that as soon as that happens, "bye-bye finished seats". I will post up pics when they arrive.

Progress has been going great now especially since I got rid of my Daily Driver Festiva. It was taking all of my time cause I was always trying to make it better. LOL The bay should be ready for paint in a couple weeks. That means interior time baby!!!

Still trying to find a set of wheels and a nice steering wheel. Those will probably be the last things I get since they are the 2 that I am going to be the most picky about.

                  • Tell me you're getting a hand built intake manifold.

                    • Or exhaust. I can't think of anything else that you could do that would promote envy in my mind. Besides maybe a twin charged festiva

                          • Yep. I'm not a fan of turbos. Not saying they can't be fast. I'm just a fun of simplicity in the engine bay and tuning.

                              • Getting a lot more done. I made a list of the bigger necessary items to finish. To my surprise there is no more major fabrication, with the exception of the hitch and brake fuel/lines, on the exterior of the the car. Just a matter of "purchase and install". I got a call today from my cousin. The seats are finally done so i'm picking them up in WV on the 5th. I did a crapload of parts blasting today so those parts will hit the powdercoater this week. For the interior I still have to fit the custom gauge cluster in. I have decided on this Dakota Digital unit in the blue Carbon Fiber. I will have the trim ring painted so it won't be chrome. I will also add the AFR module so I can display the info from my wideband sensor on the cluster so I won't have any extra gauges outside of the stock location. The engine bay will be getting painted this week hopefully.

I also have a really neat idea on the bracket for the Capri mid-shaft to fit it to the BP. I will post pics on this later. Should be pretty easy and somewhat cheap.

The idea on the hitch will make it removable in just a few seconds so I won't be carrying the extra weight around. I will post those pics when the time comes.

The interior should all go pretty quickly. I am really starting to get pumped cause I can see the end is near.
