Waiting for the engine. Can't do anything til I get it back. Then it will be a mad rush to finish wiring and get it on the road. I would say 95% done at this point if you don't count the engine. Highly doubt Madness will happen but I am still hopeful.
No more customizing to do. I have to finish the headliner and install all the parts that have to wait til the engine is in the bay. Pretty easy and straightforward stuff I guess. Damn I wanna make it to Madness!!!!

imop one of the coolest parts on my car is the custom Cable G series -to- BP midshaft bracket I just got finished with. I had the machine shop copy the bearing carrier. I made my own base plate and mounted it to the block. From there I positioned the midshaft and custom made the support brackets to hold the carrier. Welded it all together. Blasted it and powdercoated it nice and smooth Satin Black like the rest of the parts on the car. No secondary brackets, no weakening holes drilled, just plain OEM look and fit.
Originally posted by Advancedynamix View PostJust throw a cheapie bp together to get the car rolling and baseline tune. Nobody at madness will care that you rolled in with freshened junk yard engine (trust me, I've done it twice). Also, it's less stressful to tune in on a stocker to work out the bugs, and that gives you a back up engine if you ever hurt the built engine.

I will finish the Audio system after the car is on rollin' again since that is not a requirement for drive-ability (I am an audio nut but I like peace and quiet too). There really isn't a whole lot else to do but wait for the engine to be done. Then wire it all in. I will update with a lot of pics when that time comes. At this point is is not looking so promising for Madness but I am still trying 100% to make it. It is kinda outta my hands now. Already have vacation scheduled.

I'll look for the part number. Hmmmm. Wonder what's up with photobucket. I have them a separate folder to not ever delete.

Thanks dude. Hows your car running now? I would hope with the new ecu it should be better than before?

Gomez you said you wanted to make the dash clock colbolt blue to match your gauges, what gauges are you using?
