  • I can't take all the credit for it I seen something simmer a while back and just changed it up a little bit. I will improve on this design further and hopefully make it look a little better make it work for other things as well.

    • I feel like a fool. Why did I buy a slide hammer and special tool which stripped anyways. I could have done this!

It's not that you are a fool. It's just that william is a genius.

        • Ok so I ran out of light but I did get the first round or scrubbing done. Here's some before.

          And after

still needs a bit more to get it clean but not bad.

          • With the axles i couldn't get mine out with just a slide hammer. What ended up doing it was me on the slide hammer and another guy with an air chisel with a blunt attachment... Still took a while even once both those tools were going on it.

                  • So I've been driving it for a few days on my lawn mower battery while I waited for this to come it.

it may have a hard time if we get another poler vortex and have -40 wind chill but I'm not too worried about it.
The cars running good with the exception of a bad front wheel bearing on the rio swap I got from the yard.
                    Here's the temporary battery setup

These must be under rated or something

                      • Are you and Charlie competing for cleanest engine bays? I would have no problem eating sloppy Joe off that!

                        • Haha he would definitely win. I'm planning on making it nice though. I need to paint the vc and get my miata booster and master cylinder put on.

                          • Well I finally got around to swapping in my miata master cylinder and booster. I have to plug the banjo fitting port with a shortened 10x 1.0 bolt and had to lengthen the clevis about 5/8 of an inch.
To make the mounting to clevis pin center the same as the festiva.

I used a piece of pipe and a 10x1.25 nut and welding it yo the clevis

It's pretty close to the fuel filter but just cleared.

My pedal still has a bit of a drop before I can feel anything I may need to turn out the clevis some more . But it feels about the same as the stock festiva unit but takes less effort for the same breaking.
