Or it proves we both are mad. Lol
No respray, just lots of cleaning.
This is just the first phase of this cars build. The goal is to get it running and through emissions so I can register it, then I can drive it to the workshop. Then I'll modify the front support area, put new suspension on it and upgrade the brakes and wheels. I want to do track testing between every modification, to show the effects if each mod.
For now, I'm working in a storage lot with no power and barely enough room for my hoist between all my cars.

Thanks. I don't usually paint my blocks flashy colors, but I'm glad I went with the red.

From the looks of it, you've never built a racecar before ;-)

4 speeds of fury! Lol. Every time I drove Babe, I couldn't help but think, "I bet this old 4 speed would be fun with a sportier engine bolted to it"

Your 4 speed will love that b6d.
Mine dose! But I did go from 38 average with the 5sped to 36.
You do amazing work and I'm looking forward to seeing how this all turns out .

I don't see how the 4 speed would be any different than a 5 speed besides screaming on the highway

I think the 4 speed has different gear ratios, not just one less gear. Either way, I really liked driving Babe (carb'd 89 4 speed) but wanted fuel injection and a little more than the b3 could give me. I never did the swap to Babe because that car ran so good and I couldn't justify it. Pedro's B3 had a bad crank, so it was a good excuse to toss the B3 for this low mileage JDM B6ze.

A festiva race car is cheap, but the tires are still pretty expensive.
