You need the vaf, idle air control valve plug, ecu and I believe that's it.

I grabbed the injector harness though because it looks the same and the temp sensor is in a different location on that.

You'll also need to grind away a piece of medal by the oil pan to make clearence for the passenger side cv axle; if you are using stock trans. You'll also need to move the vaf plug depending on your vaf location. You'll have to drill a new hole for your passenger motor mount.

Wow, i thought there would be more to it. I will look at other threads about these swaps. I helped my brother put a newer motor and turbo in his 89 civic and we had to change the entire wiring harness. Spent forever trying to get lights and dash stuff to work, splicing in the different plugs... We never got the brake lights and reverse lights working so we sent it to a shop. They couldnt fix it and ran new wires from the pedals back but it still never worked right. Parkbrake light on the dash would come on whenever you hit the regular brakes and go out when you pulled the handbrake... :p
Had to hack the whole front end apart to fit the t3/t4 turbo. Set the turbo routing up 3 different ways but Never got it working right. I think the t3t4 was too big for a 1.6l civic. That was years of work and i decided i wasn't going to do something similar. This sounds easier though. So I'm tempted again... :p nothing like making more power!

T3/t4 turbo is what I want to put on this engine. With an internal wastegate. Considering how I am going to already need custom exhaust for the turbo and would have to pay someone to do that for me. I am going to enjoy it n/a for a while first though

It does require 2 additional wires to be ran. You also need the plug for the distributor. One of the wires is for the distributor, the other is for the VICS.

O well, sorry to be confusing.

Sorry for getting on your case. Just used to other people coming on here and arguing with the local experts. I misunderstood what you were referring to. HP numbers are between 120-127 for the BP, they vary from vehicle to vehicle for some reason.

                  Meepersly's 88 festiva build.

Eurotiva had this setup it did 165hp on the dyno. What trans are you using? T3/t3 would be best imo.

Sticking to the e series. But when I turbo it I will probably be getting a beefier one

Ok. That extra wiring doesn't sound too difficult. Huh, 7hp is a lot of variation for the same engine... The wikipedia thing you linked said it was 129 i thought, but ya. Strange.

Really? It seems to have the same 3 wires on it as on my b3

Sorry, was referring to the BP swap: that has a 4-wire plug. Lol, this is getting too confusing.

How much pressure to you plan to let your turbo make? I think that unless your going to do a lot of beefing up of the internals you might be underutilizing a t3/t4. Our experience with the 1.6L and an external wastegate is that we didnt build any boost untill over 3k rpm and nothing significant until about 4k rpm. Not enough exhaust. Around 4000 it spiked up. However we did have an external wastegate and the max boost we wanted was 7or 8psi because we had no fuel management. So basically as soon as that turbo started making boost it was at our max. A t3/t3 would have given us much more useful power. The reason we got the t3/t4 was because we didn't want it spooling and wasting gas while we were just cruising around, but we were really young when we started this and didn't understand it too well. It may work perfect for you depending on what you want to do with it, thats just how it went for us. I think the t3/t4 is meant more for 3.0-4.0 litre motors if i remember correctly.
Anyway, when are you hoping to have this engine in and driving around by?

Well a turbo is farther down the line. The engine is hopefully going to be in this weekend.

Progress check. Rear main seal replaced and transferring some b3 parts onto the b8. Also tearing apart the festiva. Anyone know an easy way to pop the CV axles out? Mine are really well put in there. Last time I pulled CV axles I used a pry bar.IMG_20151008_193708.jpg
