Thanks guys. It's by no means complete but at least now I can feel comfortable in it. From 5' away or more though she's a beaut.

Looking good. I always wanted to try painting my own car. Maybe someday I will be brave and just do it. And that rain looks real familiar.

Lol thanks guys. I love the tofu car theme. I was a big initial d fan as a teen. I doubt I'll be getting lettering on the side but I have heavily considered yellow fogs.

The wheels are rs watanabes, 14x6 and the tires are 165/55's.

Are those 13" rims? What brand of rim and size tire? I really like that look! Paint looks awesome too! Good job!

I want to paint the center of the grill black. I'm also thinking about painting the bumpers but im not sure yet. I'm still waiting for the junspeed parts so I have plenty of time to decide.

Right now the paint will do but I'll be repainting most of it. Its all shiny and smooth but I'm obsessive.

I was supposed to paint today but I decided to prime it one more time just to be safe. I went with a high build primer this time to fill any small imperfections. next step is fine grit sanding and paint. BTW the hood, roof and hatch are already painted. The hardest part of the body work was the dent on the drivers door, the massive dent on the passenger rear quarter and the grind marks from the weld repair of the fender flare holes.

I ended up starting the paint process a little bit early. This weekend I put in about 40 hours of labor into the festiva (thursday-monday). Right now it's sitting in my garage primed and masked but I have a few areas that need a little bit more attention before paint. Hopefully I'll have some painted pictures soon.

They did not come with top hats for the front but the rears did. They're flat though. I'll see if I can fit them in the rio strut mount.
