Didn't those front coilovers come with top hats? You'll want to run those. The spring shouldn't rest on the strut mount.

I got one door card installed. I like the aluminum but i think I'm going to paint it black.

I tried to go last night with the gf and dog but the dog was freaking out. I'll have to do my test and tune solo. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get video.

That height looks pretty cool. And it looks like we have some dry weather through the weekend so your mountain run should be hella fun.

The rears are in! I had a bit of a rough week with the festiva. Last Sunday I went out to play some pool and on my way home she ran out of gas. I must've spaced out on that one. While I was waiting for the gf to come, I slammed the door a little bit too aggressively and broke the drivers window. That's fixed too but it was a little bit annoying.

I got the car set at a pretty low height right now but it seems to handle just fine. Either tonight or tomorrow I'm going to do a mountain run and see just what she can handle.

I was a little bit worried about the tires rubbing so i rolled the rears but it doesn't look like I'll have any issues. In the future I'm going to set it up with about 2 degrees of camber. Maybe more. Who knows.

With the wheels and suspension done, I can focus on the body for a little bit. Right now it leaves a bit to be desired. The windshield is broken, theres dents here and there and the paint is just rough all around. I'm hoping to have it at least primed by next weekend. I cant paint until my junspeed parts arrive. I'll get the new lamps and mud flaps installed then too.

I got the front suspension installed last night. There must have been something terrible wrong with my old fronts because now the car drives without any noise or vibration. It feels like a 2016 up front. Hopefully I'll have the rear top hats done this week so I can drop those in too.

Yay parts! My order from the festiva store came in. I also finished up the fronts for the coilovers. Now all i need is to make the rear top hats. If i can't get it done by mext friday I'll use the stock stuff. After that it's body work time. I'm guessing the junspeed parts will be here on time for that.

I brought the front parts in to work today so I could mod them on the mill. I ended up taking charlies advice and bringing up the bottom hole instead of reworking the top hole. It took about 5 minutes each to open them up. With this I should be able to adjust camber with the original hole and I didn't chew up the mount that much. If I ever need more camber I'll just slot the top more.

Also I chose the emusa coilovers because the flange is flat. Makes it easier to work on.

Thanks Astronaut. The second top hat is on its way. I had to order them from different vendors.

Now all I'm waiting for is one top hat, the vw coilovers and the rears. I might just have these installed next weekend.
