        • I wonder if dliverance would be willing to come to Westiva next year to show us in person how good his car looks? It's only 675 miles to Wedge Pond from Port Angeles!

Those will tuck up into stock (but rolled) fenders with about 3 degrees of negative camber (assuming that your running 165 55 14 tires).

ET20 14x7 tucked with no rubbing and soft suspension.

            • Charlie, I think that's a little bit lower than I wanted to go but that's good info. I'll be getting an alignment soon and working on the rear camber as well.

              • Yeah, your smart. It handles better about an inch higher than this. I just wanted to see where my suspension stopped playing nice. It looks cool, but pushes and doesn't hook well.

X2. I autocrossed mine yesterday without raising it back up... Looks good down there but it understeered badly and spun the inside tire coming out of the corners. It was spinning so bad that I was pedaling it to get it to hook back up. You know it's bad when you're pedaling a car with 58 hp in second gear lol.

Your car is coming along nicely, can't wait to see more!

                  • I'm still waiting on parts from Junspeed. It's going on 2 months now. I've got the project on hold until those items get here so I don't think there will be too many updates.

                    • Do you have all the stuff you need for the engine swap now?

not yet. I need to rebuild and re- jet the carbs, get clutch parts, a fuel pump, carb filters and I'm missing a bunch of b6d parts like timing covers, the tube that goes from the front left of the block to the heater, I want to do a timing belt and water pump and some more nonsense. i don't think I'll be swapping it until around march at the rate I'm going.

                        • Well...It's coming up on 3 months now since I've ordered my parts from Junspeed. He was replying on a regular basis with updates but I think I'm going to have to cancel the order now. I like to consider myself a patient person but I think anyone would start to lose hope after 3 months. If I do end up getting a refund, I'll just put that money towards getting the swap done I guess. It sucks pretty bad that it's taken this long. I just need to get the project moving and I can't keep waiting to finish the body work.

As for Junspeed as a parts seller, I don't know what anyone else's experiences have been but I will say that I'm pretty disappointed. The communication was pretty good but the time it's taken so far has begun to leave a bitter taste.

                          • That sucks! What there any explanation for hold up? I really was hoping to see these parts installed on your car too.

                            • I think this has happened in the past with other enthusiasts. I'm sorry to hear that you've had bad luck with this.
On a positive note, when you get that b6d in and dialed, you'll enjoy driving it so much that it won't matter as much what it looks like. I didn't find the beauty in these cars until I drove one that was set up well, then I wanted it to look stock. It's like secretly driving James Bonds DB5, except it's invisible to the rest of the world.

                              • Yeah I am a little bit bummed about it but I can live without the parts. I spoke to him yesterday and he said the parts were ready. He also sent a picture of the parts but he said he wouldn't send the parts until I removed my refund request from paypal. I said I wouldn't remove the request for refund until I had a tracking number. I gave him until the 6th to provide a tracking number as the 6 makes 3 months exactly. If when I wake up this afternoon there is no tracking number I will proceed with the dispute. From there I will use the refund money to go ahead with the swap. It's unfortunate that it's come this far and nothing received but I guess I will just have to change direction with the exterior part of the build.
