This morning I was letting the engine warm up in my driveway. I thought the ground was flat. I let her in neutral sat for a second before getting out just to make sure she wouldnt roll. well after 7min of sitting perfect still while I was in the garage, she rolled forward.... Into the back of my dad's truck. Shattered the headlight lens luckily I have the red car to lend festiver a headlight.

I have similar results with my B6T! With three adults and two storage bins full of dishes I didn't have to downshift on any of the hills between Edmonton and Calgary while maintaining 110-130kph (70-80mph).

I wouldn't worry too much about the rpms with the g series. I ran mine 80 85 from Newbern NC to salem il no problems yeah the rpm are up there but it won't hurt anything but fuel milege I only get 32-35 at them speeds.
B6d+g I'm getting a 5th gear swap in a few weeks though! Should help with mpgs a bit . I get 35-42 depending on how much fun I have back and forth to work. I'm hoping with the gear swap I can get closer to 50 when I really try.

Ok so I feel like I'm starting a new topic in general discussion every other day so I apologize. That just a bunch of things I want to talk about and or opinions on festiva wise but anyway exhaust notes nothing I love more than aggressive pops crackles and bangs when a car let's off the throttle now before someone says just go v8 I'm sticking to my bp lol

How does a 4 cyl get this angry over run exhaust note I've heard everything from large diameter pipe, straight pipe, over fuel tune idk what works with a bp when I had my 3" straight pipe it didnt crackle or anything the occasional backfire though so do I have to go microsquirt and tune a little more fuel in the overrun?

Sequential fuel and spark engine management and set the softcut rev limit to do that. Also anti lag and traction control/launch control can be set up to sound like that. As far as the depth of tone, it helps that the Neon is a 2.4L. The 1.8 isn't going to be as deep.

The popping on the over run is done with your fuel and spark maps. I had mine set so it would do that. It's been a while since I played with that so I can't remember exactly what I did though lol.

After I go microsquirt I'll have to have it tuned anyway there's a world-class tuning shop less than 3 mi from me im a bit scared of the shunning I'll received for my "ricer" request but I don't care itll be worth it

Yeah I figured the displacement gave it the depth of tone oh well and I would love to play with the 3 step control but I'll need a beefy header before I go that extreme

Microsquirt can support 4 logic level (5v) coils iirc, so you should be able to have sequential spark. You'll need to start researching which coils to run. I know GM coils are pretty popular.
