Installed new front control arms, steering rack boots, outer tie-rod ends, sway bar bushings, and replaced rear wheel bearing on driver's side.

While doing the rear wheel bearing I found that whoever did it before not only didn't stake the nut properly but also didn't install the inner race correctly. The race just fell out when I pulled the drum off.

She may be ready for inspection now.

Let's see... The racing seats are in, harness bar is in (and covered), harnesses are in, camera mount on the bar is in...

Ordered a set of HID lights from the same guy that Doug did. Can't wait for them to get here.

Fixed my rich running condition problem by running a new MAF wire, cleaned the spark plugs off and changed the oil. Next week is hopefully a stereo

I filled it with hot water and Dawn dish washing liquid , sloshed it around , then filled it up and kept rinsing it out until all the suds was gone .

Then I took a hair dryer and blew air in it until it was almost gone .

Then I stuck a paper towel in the hole and took one of the wifes round wooden handle spoons and stirred it around to help wipe the inside off .
It did help , I had a bulb go up in smoke several years ago and it really made a haze on the inside .

              swapped it

Last Sunday on a warm, sunny day, I pushed the engine free #59 Icetiva out of the ramshackle garage, and winched it up onto the car hauler. Then the engine free #51 RX7 summer road racer took its place in the garage, only after the hand winch pulled out of the stud wall and had to be remounted. This Sunday I took a pic of Icetiva basking in our glorious weather.
Thricetiva replaced Icetiva as the new ride

Bought my third festiva. Smashed front end but supposedly the engine still works. The trans has a hole and has leaked out all the fluid near as I can tell. (5-speed manual).

But for $50 I couldn't resist. Not sure what is in it's future.

No problems. It was flush with the step in the drum and I gave it a few taps from the inside (like you do to remove it) and it didn't budge.

Radio installed, new inner and outer rear wheel bearings, fixed self adjuster/park brake strut, custom shift boot, still no f/lights, think it is the switch...
                      Going old school...

You mean other than giving them big smooches on their roofs everytime the price of gas goes up? Well..... I gutted and changed out the interior from tan to gray in Shtinky, after I had parted the 88 and turned its shell over to the parts master. ( no, honey, you talked me into the color change, but the dash doesn't come out till it needs a heater core) changed the oil, reinstalled the Alloys, put 2 new calipers on, patched up the parking brake cable, and am running the Red Car through its paces to get things going for the summer rigors. Did I forget something? Oh, that's the next 7 days.......
