Yep, pretty bad to work for. I have a friend in PA who also hates it. The fact that they (as a company) have a turnover rate in the high 80% range tells it all. Meaning more than 80% of their employees leave every year! One example: One night as we were closing, (customers still in the store at this point), the manager gets on the overhead paging system: "Well, people, we didnt make sales again today. This is a horrible store. You should be ashamed of yourselves!" yes, he actually said that! Needless to say i was outta there soon after.
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

Stay at home dad, Mural artist, computer repairman, former home remodeler and retail manager. On a side note, it's not just Lowes, most of your large retail stores have gone to a turnover doesn't matter mindset. I worked for Babies R Us, started as a stocker, and within 2 years was in management. When I started, almost everybody was full time, great benefits, then they got bought out. All that changed, only dept heads and a few others got full time/benefits. Focus became on add-on sales, and warranty programs a la Sears. I tossed them my keys one day and never looked back. From what I understand, Lowes is a lot like that.

I tossed my keys after a 3.5 year stint at TRU. Was great when I started in 90 as a manager.
