2.0L I5 from a Volvo. turbo-charged, over-bored a bit.

black gloss paint, GTX bumper kit, Fog lights with HID bulbs, blacked out headlights, and tailights (maybe on that). stock spoiler with custom 3rd brake-light (on the spoiler, bigger so I can put a mask on it (batman logo shaped).

2.5" or 3" exhaust magnaflow cat, hi-flow muffler.

Yep, all I actually plan on doing, after I actually buy a Festiva. Starting with the engine and performance then onto the body.

Escort GT front suspension with custom A-arms, Escort struts with coil-overs.

Miata based rear suspension - probably with Miata knuckles, brakes, diff, and custom arms and subframe - maybe just a whole Miata rear assembly with the Festiva hatch area cut to fit.

I'd also settle for GTX based rear suspension, it would be an cleaner conversion - a little less cutting and could probably still have some usable cargo area, but the Miata stuff is way easier to come by and the gear ratio can be made to work.

OR

RWD conversion

Miata front and rear suspension.

Rotary engine.

Tube frame (it's gonna have to be to make the Miata suspension mount up).


Either way, I'm fine with a totally gutted interior with just front seats (not stock seats, maybe RX8 ), dash, and some aluminum sheet riveted in place of the door panels.

Hey, I just did a search and could find a thread with a regular round headlight conversion. I think they look pretty darn sexy.

oh it's in here somewhere, and it involves modding your factory buckets and getting lenses and buckets from a VW rabbit
