            manifuld studs, no. Heat shield bolts, yes!!! Needless to say, John, the heat shield is no longer "fit for service"...

              John had already bought it, I just installed it while I was under there. Not sure where he got it.

                  If you are referring to the rear trans mount, I was able to get a new one from O'Reilly Auto Parts last month for a festiva I replaced the clutch in. They had to order it. Most of the ones I have worked on have come apart in two pieces. It feels so much better with a non broken one.

                    Thanks noname, correct it is the tranny mount. I think the break is fairly common. Ive noticed redford has started making a clunk ( unrelated to the tranny) when I push the clutch in to shift. I think it may have a broken mount like the one below which I recently took of the car Im doing an engine swap on.

                        ^LOL, yes its true. Actually a three way swap. Motor, brakes, and auto to manual with a little fire damage repair thrown in. See my thread below. Should have new brakes and steering as soon as my FMS parts arrive. Its going to be awesome.:headbang::headbang:

                              ok, more comprehensive update;

                              got it all back together and running tonight. Fired on the first turn of the key, nice and quiet and smooth! No leaks from any repaired area (looks like the rear main seal is leaking, however). Comes up to temp in 5-10 minutes of idleing, temp gauge sits just below center. Fan cycles normally. Exhaust is clear and has little odor. No discernable blowby from the rings/cylinders. Took it for a quick spin around the campus; SWEET!! She scoots along nicely!! I'll take her for a proper road test tomorrow afternoon, just to ensure there aren't any concealed issues, but I don't think I'll find any.

                              John, you still need a few things;

                              I discovered the air filter has been nibbled on by critters, and should be replaced.
                              The radiator and upper and lower hoses should be replaced.
                              The driver's side half shaft is clacking, so that still needs to be changed out.

                              Other than a bath, she's ready to roll, hombre'!!!!!
