I put it in around 630 today and getting oil change at around 830 in the morning.

If any of you have Subarus, this stuff works absolute miracles on them! Something about the boxer design builds up a lot of gunk in the heads. Half a can into the intake via a vacuum hose, let it sit for 10 minutes, start it and put the engine under load for a bit, car will run much better. I've done it to all 7 of my Subies and my Festy. Greatly improved the idle in my little Ford.

As stated above, it PLAINLY states on the can that it is for use in both gas and oil. At least the southern version does. Didn't realize I had pee'd in your cheerio's until I read your comment. I kinda gave up on seafoam the effects never seemed to last. On this last Festiva I put 1 ounce of MMO in each cylinder and left it a week. Next trip I take I'll put two ounces in each and leave it. I kick myself for not doing a compression check but it did seem to lessen blowby purrs on the highway now. Also put a couple ounces in the oil which I shouldn't of done with a few oil leaks. With MMO you can leave it in the entire oil change unlike seafoam.91 rusty Festiva 260k

Thats exactly it, seafoam is a combustable agent thats why everyone notices the big diffrence when running it in a fuel system. Once its gone so is the performance. I have noticed this along time ago. Ya it is good stuff for cleaning deposits and such but half a 5th of moonshine does the same thing except shoot fire out the exhaust.1991 stiva.

Sometimes, if you have too much carbon build up, loosening it up is not the best idea. It's like doing an engine or transmission flush. When it comes to cleaners and additives, you have to determine how bad it really is and weigh the possible consequences.
I will say, I've only had good results from using Seafom. However, using the Pennzoil Ultimate in my Festy was an epic fail! I now loose about a 1/2 quart of oil every 100 miles through the breather due to excessive blow-by. The motor is sparkling clean inside, but no ring seal left. The oil did not cause the issue, it just exposed the mechanical condition.Brian

sea foam story
wife drives a 04 hyundai that has 150k on it. last month i though a can of sea foam in it (1/3 in the intake) before i started to fill the tank @ the gas station put the rest in the tank. she was really nerves about all the smoke. i drove to portland O.R. (200miles) and then re-filled the tank and let her drive back she was extremely impressed with the improvement it made. the fact that she noticed the difference when she doesn't notice the engine light come on or.... anything, then when the improvement was enough for her to notice, was impressive to me73 pinto sedan 2.0/auto stock

So heres the story My Festiva ran like complete crap before I got the Sea-Foam, I added it to my gas tank and ran it hard for 150 miles and now the car seems to run perfect with no weird smells, no more idle problems, and it doesnt stall at every light or stop sign anymoreI have one tough looking festiva...even though it has 63hp :dj:
