Tried to get a new muffler put on mine today. Drove all the way to Oklahoma City to get it done (got a warranty for lifetime mufflers from Midas for my Festy clear back in 1993).
No dice. :nono:
Didn't have any that would fit in stock. They do in Wichita, KS but not in Oklahoma City. Will have to ship it from Wichita to OKC.
Nuts. More time and gas to get it swapped out....88L - 'Twistiva' - 'The Fusion of Man and Machine'

But....the guy at Midas said the same thing: "We don't carry many mufflers any more because most new cars have stainless steel mufflers and so we only replace them if they're damaged in accidents."
However......how much do they generally run for Festivas?88L - 'Twistiva' - 'The Fusion of Man and Machine'

Re: What have you done to your Festiva today!?
I usually hear people talk of finding used mufflers at the junkyards for less than $20, and even welded on for that price. Otherwise I'd say just pick up a Thrush turbo muffler for the same price, buy a pipe size adapter, and go from there...In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

You would still have to get it custom installed.
Is that a line of Walker mufflers? A type of muffler? Sorry, not fully tracking on that.....
$55.....OK, I'll consider stainless. Guess my "free" muffler isn't really "free" if I have to drive 160 miles round trip to get it put on.88L - 'Twistiva' - 'The Fusion of Man and Machine'

What's worse is that they won't use something else. There were several cars made with our size pipe that they could use. Maybe even in stainless! In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

It was. Everyone seems to want to go grey with their interiors. I'm actually growing to like the beige interior, after what I saw with Rakfint's Honda. In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
