  • Festiva Dyno Day at Shift Fast Motorsports

    Today was the day we got to fulfill our offer from Shift Fast Motorsports in Rock Hill, SC for a Festiva dyno day All the details are in the original thread from a few weeks ago located here http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ght=Shift+Fast

    We took 6 cars to run and had a stock(ish) Aspire motor B3 5spd, a B3 auto with mild head work, a B6 SOHC auto with mild head work, a B6 SOHC 5spd rear turbo car, and 2 B6T cars. We would have loved to have had a BP car to run but none of us currently have one built so hopefully next time either we'll have one or someone with a BP car can join us.

    We had an amazing day with the guys at Shift Fast!! I've been to a lot of dyno days at many different shops and I have to say these guys are hands down the best I've ever dealt with! Unlike many performance shops I've dealt with in the past, these guys were extremely friendly and hospitable. They give respect no matter what you drive and they were TOTALLY into our cars and what we've done to them. I think they may have had more fun today than we did!!

    They also said they would be more than happy to host more dyno days for us and even a meet! Since our last outing down to SFM a couple of the guys from the shop are currently looking for a Festive of their own to build now and I think we may even have them talked into attending Madness this year!!!! So I think we may have some new converts guys! LOL

    All in all it was an AWESOME day and I think a great time was had by all. I know I had a blast!! I want to thank all the crew at SFM for an outstanding job and if you live with a couple of hours of Rock Hill, SC....Shift Fast it THE dyno shop to take your car to. The guys are top shelf all the way.

    Ok, I'm currently working on sorting out the graphs and vids for each of the cars. I should start posting up results soon

    Awesome! Looking forward to the dyno charts. I think the FL crew should think about doing this on the way up to Madness.

            Ok, the vids I've got so far are hit and miss so I'm going to get Motoxpress to send me the ones Ladyblaster took with her iPad and I'm going to get Festevil3 to email me the ones he took.

            In the meantime I'll start posting up graphs as I get them scanned.

                      Festevil3's 90 5 speed B6T car "Festicul"

                      Engine = 1.6 DOHC B6T

                      Mods = Stock(?) @ 10psi (boost leak). Festevil will have to chime in on his mods. I know there are many suspension and other mods done to the car but I'm not sure about the engine.

                          Motoxpress and Festevil3 will have to comment on their exact modifications on the B6T cars as I'm not certain of exactly what's done to them.

                          Hopefully I'll have some good vids to post up later after I receive the footage everyone took today.

                            I have a feeling the numbers are a bit high but a good comparison between the cars for sure!
