  • I didn't say much in my first post but over the past few days I have spent alot of time helping Inga and hanging out with his boys and we have been sharing memories, reliving the good times and bad and remembering Dj in a way that I know at times would make even him laugh. It's strange at times thinking back 7-8 years when I first came into contact with Dj and his family, watching his boys grow up and becoming the men they are today.

I was also going through my wedding photo's the other day and remembered what Dj said to me before that walk down the isle. He said he wanted to go just to see if I would throw my shoe or leave the groom standing at the alter as I was marrying one of his best friends(Loner181). His wife Inga at my side as my Maid of Honor... Dj was a great friend, even if at times he made me mad...he was always willing to share his wisdom of computers with me and I learned so much from him. He had a knack of making one feel silly at times and he had the midas touch when it came to pc's. A few days ago he and I were havin a chat about the new C&C as I was having issues getting past this one mission..and I was picking his brain over a Toshiba laptop I was working on...it's all still so unreal and I keep expecting to walk into his office and see him sitting in his chair with his feet kicked up on the desk, keyboard on his lap..he was truely in a league of his own and way too young to leave this world but he now rests in a much better place with no pain, no sorrow and hopefully no spiders... They say no one lives forever, but I disagree as he will forever live in our thoughts and our hearts. Thanks for all the support on The Studio, we will miss you... Farewell friend..

I also wanted to attach some photo's that were taken at our wedding 2 years ago on May 23, 2005. Feel free to add them to the dedication page you all have going and if you would like the original photo's just pm me and I'll be happy to send them.

    • Wow!!!I never met or talked to DJ ,we did exchange emails once, I always had tremendous respect for his knowledge and passion. This site has been priceless in helping me get info and parts for my little backyard project in the last 1-1/2 year. I'm not much of a poster but i wanted to let you know that my family is praying that GOD's grace comforts and strengthens you always

      RIP

              • Geez. I was at the AZ meet a few years back and met DJ and Shorty... I don't post that much on here because my Festiva project has been on hold a while. I was just trying to figure out if I should finish it or scrap it for when I have better space to try another, but I guess I have my answer.

Well, this is quite a shock. Even though I didn't really keep in touch, I guess it's hard to fathom that he's gone. When I met DJ, he was having fun, and full of life and love for his family. My condolences. ccasion5: I'll drink one tonight to remember a good man.

                      • " Rich you have to read the FF.Com homepage now ! ".

I know I do not post here much with my own things going on, but I wanted to leave my comment on the untimely passing of DJ. All I can say is that it was a complete shock to read the news and I offer my sympathy to his family and friends. This truly is a sad event for the Festiva community here and elsewhere.

Years ago, DJ was struck me as someone with a lot of initiative and perserverance. It was these character assets that proved necessary to keep the spirit of FordFestiva.Com "All Things Festiva " alive.

I am glad that I got the opportunity to let DJ know I could not have found someone better for the task of taking over FF.Com. Had I not, it would have been cross I would personally not wish to bear.

Rest in peace Mr. Hayek, you've done a magnificent job. May this always continue with those that
inherit the responsilbity of owning and maintaining FF.Com.
