Well, it's been ordered and should be in the mail direct from EXEDY. I havent got the space or the right tools to do it at home, and it needs to be done asap, so Ive booked it in at a local workshop to be installed on Monday. hurrah.

              • Glad to hear you got the new clutch in alright. It made a world of difference when I replaced the clutch in my '92. Like a brand new car!

                • I drove it to work this morning 50kms, and it purred along better than what its ever been since i got the car --- as you said, feels like a brand new car!

Next job on the list it to get rid of some rattles --- the most obvious being the locking rods in the doors vibrating, nothing some foam wrapped around it wont fix!

                  • Speedy, I loved that pic with your 121 in the foreground and the Lancer in the background. I actually think THAT one would make a great calendar picture! The matching white cars with red wheels and all.

I never thought I could drool so much over a "plain" white 121!!

                        • it was off a Ford Probe GTS or GTX?? somthing like that. it looked goo once i molded it and painted the whole bumper. and just to throw it out there, the white car in that pic, is the car on the right in my sig. big improvment huh? as u can see i removed the bumper due to the snow and it got ruined.

                          • Dont like the red wheels on 121, so i decided to try spraying one wheel silver, and ditching the chrome trims. Also sprayed the inner wheel well black --- will get around to doing the others when i have time. I likey! So shiny.

                            • Not much of an update, just an excuse to post a few pics After i sprayed the rims, i went for bit of a photoshoot -- this is probably the only pic worth posting

I had some 15x6.5" Sprint Hart wheels sitting int he shed (Cant sell them!), so i thought I'd trial fit them onto the 121 Downside to the wheels is staggered offsets which are good for my Lancer, but not the 121! Below are pics of a 15x6.5, +35 offset wheel --- wheel clearance was no problem at all, but the 205 wide tyre rubbed on the strut a little --- i reckon with 175 or maybe even 195 tyres they'd be ok. Ideally i think i need to find some 14x6" wheels with around a 35 offset

AS much as I'd love to modify the little 121, I keep telling myself I'd be better off starting with an EFI car I'll probably look for some wheels later down the track, and lower it but that'll be it for this car.

I'd love to upgrade to one of these in the future and drop a B6 in. (They run EFI B3 + B5's). It's a later model Mazda 121 Metro.
