Yeah, I was only going to sand the high spots if I went without the black. Just make it red and aluminum. That horse has left the barn now.:p

Tho, just for Greg, I might do the next one with racing stripes.

          Back to square one.

Okay, upon further reflection, the black over red is not going to work. At least not as quickly as I would like it to. So, back to square one. Think I'm just going to repaint it red, and leave it alone. :banghead:

On the plus side, I think it's actually cleaner now than before I painted last time. And I got to break in a new toy I got for Christmas. (Dremel tool, FTW!)

?!?! WTF man it looked so pretty - just a lil polish work left

So you going black base with the red over? - if so make sure to mask the areas that will be red otherwise you will have to put on twice the coats to cover the black

It looked really good in the picture, and really bad up close and personal. Trust me.

Actually, I'm going back to all red. Like in the first set of pics, before the black. I do want to play around with the 2 color combo, but I need to get this done, so I can swap VCs (and more importantly, VC gaskets) before the Sunshine meet.

^^ I liked the concept, just not the execution. After Florida, I'm going to take another run at it with the VC that's coming off the car.

X2 Yeah to bad it didn't turn out like you hoped, but the Red still looked sharp.

                      Deja Vu, eh?

Just pulled it out of the oven after baking on the paint. A little woozy from the fumes, but at least they can't test for it.:p

Bat, I did like the mention you made of black with red stripes. Black with sanded (silver) ribs sounds good too.
I have tried the spray in a jar and brush, sometimes it works and other times not, depending on app. Heres what always works for sure: I use painters tape, tape off and trim the first color and spray the second color.
I also like the hi heat clear paint idea. Keeps the sanded ribs clean looking.

^^ Think I'm just going to go solid red on this one. Running out of time to fix eff ups and still get the vc and gasket changed. :banghead:
I do plan on playing around with the one that's coming off the car. Still may be a red with black, or black with red vc in my future.

Might play around and see if I can match the color on the 90, tho. Batstiva's getting the yellow one.
