Yeah, she needs a whole lot more than that. More of a long term, tear completely down, and build completely back up type of project.
I really did forget how much of her parts I sold off, before I sold the rest of her. D'oh! :banghead:

^^ That is pretty sexy. Well, out with the old.

A gift from the previous owner. "Oh, no, you really shouldn't have. :banghead:

            Something doesn't look right here.

So now I get to either replace the head, or try and drill out and re-tap the hole. Figured since that bolt already wasn't holding anything, anyway, I'd go ahead and put the new one on, and monitor my oil closely.

            In with the new.

Took it out and drove it for about 20 miles, and not easy. No visible leakage, and no change in the car's performance. Think I'll keep an eye on my oil, drive it for a few days, and see how it goes. I don't think I'm actually any worse off than before, because that bolt wasn't holding anything anyway. It actually came off in my hand as I was wiping off some grease before I put the socket to it. Thoughts? Ideas? Warnings?

^^ Been there, done that. Think the PO must have cross threaded, then snapped the bolt. Put the vice grips to it, and it would wiggle a bit, but would not come out. Wouldn't loosen, or tighten, just wobbled a tiny bit. Ended up snapping it off flush.

actually, I would have preffered it to say Ford. I contemplated milling it off. But then I thought the r-tards at my local cruise spot would really scratch their collective butts contemplating the Mazda vc...
