Ahh!! My neighbor planted!! I'm behind! Tomorrows tilling day. Today, I raked all the dead grass clumps out, and made a bit of a retaining wall to break up the hill a bit. Ran out of blocks though. It'll do for this season.

Yeah I know. I can cover things though if needed. Clearly this hasn't been an average winter, lol.
He has planted 3 groupings of things so far. What look like cold season stuff, I can't tell. But he also set up his huge tomato cages... makes me think he put out seed.
Are we the only gardeners this year?!

I fluffed up the spot I plowed and limed last fall. Then I went and tilled the neighbors garden. The landpride tiller fluffs up the soil 6-8 inches, I love it. Also took the Junior out for its maiden run after rebuilding it over the winter, it works perfect. A lot less time on the hoe this year. Still need to add four pound of nitrogen and 16 pounds of phosphorus to the new plot. I noticed some lettuce had wintered over in one of my raised beds, pretty amazing. Hoping for some rain this evening to soak into the newly tilled gound.

I tilled today too!!! Except I rented a tiller, lol.
This is the largest veggie plot I've ever done. VERY excited.
Looks pretty darn good for a first year plot, if I do say so myself!! This was all grass last summer.

Went back out later and tilled up another area while I had the tiller on. I also wanted to see if I could go from virgin pasture to garden using the tiller without plowing first, I can. Love the smell of freshly tilled ground in the spring !!
