        Let's think about this rationally...
Your Bro is seriously disturbed, and your Mom and the rest are enabling him. Your lucky he didn't hurt someone, but its a matter of time. Remove yourself from the situation totally. Its just car, Ford built thousands of them, you can find another. Take control of your life and get out while you can. Confronting your bro won't do any good since he's obviously not right in the head. You got anywhere else to go?

I don't really. All my other family is either really old or way way out of the way to get to, especially with my current mobile situation. Hopefully my mom actually follows through because I have no problems with my younger brother or my mom (generally).

Some way, some how....you need to leave. To be honest with you ....sorry to say....your mom is part of the problem. She has let your brother do whatever he wants for how long? Defends him when he does. Get out while you can....he is unstable and short of anything but killing him, I do not see it ending well for you. It is only a car....no reason to ruin your life for it. To much has already been posted for you to deny anything that would happen now.
Get out man.....move...to another state if need be.

He only showed concern when the car almost burned down the house, ya know, the place he lives. I plan on moving out of state, I just got to figure out where and how. I don't exactly make much money (woo min. wage job).

Maybe move the thread to the arena?

That guy needs to be behind bars. If he does that to his own family I don't even want to know what he would do to other people.

Yeah, not many people here go to the arena. I've been watching my language because I wanted it out here.

Dude, that sucks... more than words can describe. But do yourself a favor; as satisfying as retaliation might sound, it only has the potential to make a bad situation worse. If your brother is willing to commit arson based on whatever differences you may have, how far would he go if properly provoked? I've never known anyone to come back from a good beating with an apologetic attitude and remorse for what they've done.

I don't know you well enough to offer any insight, and I can't tell you where you should go from here, but it seems like you could use a little less chaos in your life. I wish you luck.

I think you should let him know his cd collection is on fire, along with his clothes, and shoes, whatever porn he has, and make sure you use his alcohol to start the fire. Then push him in it when he comes outside. Then dusty your hands of grab a bag of chettos and watch some tv.
