I'm not sure I agree with this Chris. I saved a ton of money on my car insurance not buying a Ferrari or a Lotus Exige. Tweak was the cheapest track weapon I've ever built and the most fun I've ever had on the track. These cars are an enormous bargain. Even if you were to spend 70K on a festiva that was optimized in every way, you'd still have $#!t box car insurance and registration prices, which is huuuuge! They are worth every penny and every second spent on them.

Maybe I should rephrase  dumping a ton of money into an econobox with hopes of making money from it, is a waste

I know I'll never get my money back out of my festiva if I ever sold it that's for sure lol so I'll just dump more money it haha

                    • I kinda always thought of what it'd be like to run a front and rear turbo setup.

                        I've thought of that too.

                          Small turbo in the back?

                          • I was thinking small turbo off the manifold with a huge external wastegate to bypass to the big rear turbo. But also have the exhaust outlet on the small turbo pipe back to the large turbo as well.

Obviously I haven't given it any *real* thought. Though I do have a very small (k03) and a very big (HE351CW) turbo at my disposal..........

So you could run a bigger turbo with the same amount of lag, same boost but less heat? Or would you bump that boost up a bit?

                              • I'm thinking broad powerband from 2,000 (or less) to 7,500 rpm. The VW 1.8t the K03 came off of had its peak torque at like 1,800 rpm. This would be great in my automatic car since it cant stall up to 4,000 rpm or wherever the holset would start bringing power on.
