I think I will just add a soft plastic piece on my key chain and use that pry the gas door open. Its a lot less work than rigging something up

It is going to look similar to this, I hope.

        With these wheels

Don't you lose front legroom with those oversize wheels?

they are 15x6.5 with a +35 offset. I am going to run 195/45/15 so I doubt I will have any troubles.

Just put a small magnet on your keychain. That should do it.Get rid of the latch inside.Put a single hinge from another car on the inside that ,when opened ,stays open and when closed ,holds itself closed with a little tension.

My hinge is actually pretty stiff and holds itself shut pretty well.
Maybe I can get or make a little felt covered magnet pull like you said for my keychain.

Cut some new gaskets for my smoothie tail lights I am going to install after I finish the paint job. I used some foam rubber I got from work.

I have enough material to make about 4 more sets of these if anyone is interested.

                    • How's the silver bullet coming along? Haven't seen any updates on the paint work in a while?

                      • I started putting it back together last night. My corner lights & my turns in the front won't work.

                            • My Cressida gas cap door latch release quit working on a day when I was impatient. I put a magnet where it could grab the door. It works pretty good.

                              • Car looks good. As for the gas door why not install a cable out of a 323 that has the lever to open the door? It would also unlock the hatch. They fit in a Festiva.
