1/4" thick steel, i'm sure it'll be strong enough  besides there's not really any torque on the bracket anyway, its more or less there to support the intermediate shaft

i figured it was better then grinding down the block to get the int. shaft bracket to sit flush with the block and not enough mounting holes behind where the bracket sits compared to the engine

                      no progress yet,

the first time i put the ZE in i messed up the threads for the crossmember bolts so i didn't get the bolts tight, i've since fixed the threads so that problem is fixed. The other day i put the ZE back in, got the bolts tightened up and seen how little clearance there really is to the frame rail, which is less than i originally thought

so i've decided to knotch the frame rail that way if i ever need to change the belt i won't need to pull the engine, so i'm waiting on some steel from work to come in but in the meantime i've started on the engine mount

                            • Yeah probably good you are notching the frame rail if you have to use that outer belt instead of removing it. My alternator was sitting that close on one of my BP installs, any time I went around a sharp corner fast it would hit and make a fun noise.
