the motor should be here on tue or wed
and i think ill have problems installing this motor the b6t intake manifold is smaller than the bp (i think) so i think the motor mounts i made are gonna make the intake manifold hit the firewall so i think all the motor mounts i made are gonna go in the scrap bin but what i think ill do is make a new system and lower the motor and sit it back even further and more upright... that should give me more room for turbo stuff when i get there and a tiny bit better weight distribution lol... my plan is to make a new cross member out of round tubing and flat bar, i may even tie it in to the LCA mounts to stiffen those up at the same time and hold the motor better side to side... but i may get lucky and it may just bolt in and fit perfect...

Yeah all the mounts are different with a bp installation. the only reason you should have to cut the firewall is if you are using the stock trans crossmember and b3 trans in the stock location. i dropped my engine down to get the rear part of the trans to go under the steering rack. if you want to turbo it later you will want all the room in front of the engine as you can get. the way my engine/trans is positioned, the axles are directly in line with eachother, the diff is lined up perfect with the hubs in other words. I cut the front and rear mounting points off my crossmemeber and used them to make my front and rear trans mounts.

Sorry I don't have time to go through this whole thread to see what the problem is. I've got a jap B6T, ECU, etc. I won't be using everything. Let me know if I may be able to help your cause. I hope to be around again in the next few days or so. Good luck whatever you do man.

The TB pointed under the master cyl... too low!!
This is where the pass. side mount lined up before i remounted the engine.
...and this is where it lines up after I raised it.
top of the valve cover is pretty much level with the rad support

resuwrecked: WOW thats low... any pics of how far you got it back and under the steering rack? also your motor mounts... im trying to get as many ideas as possable so i have lots of options to build... also how stright are your axles when the car sits on the ground?
anyone know if the hydro and cable clutch are the same on the outside? would it be easier to put in a hydro trans VS a cable trans?

^ Thats it. works well so far. Its big as hell, and I got it intentionally because I figured since its so big with the cooling fins and all that it will hold up to the heat better, and it does, it stays cool after a hard run. I also took it all apart and reassembled it to make sure that none of the chinese kids left rice or anything in it. Just dont but a chinese ebay turbo or "stainless" tubular manifold. I speak from experience.Last edited by resuwrecked; 01-18-2010, 06:38 PM.
