Yup, I had the passenger side ball joint separate on my tbird a couple years ago. No axles to pull, and it somehow held itself together long enough for me to drive 10 blocks home or so, at about no mph. The noise from the dust shield grinding was horrible and the butt pucker factor was unmatched.

Ok so I have a few queries about the swap. What brand clutch should I procure for the project? I know Exedy is a good brand but I do want something that is performance and can hold up to a BP. So from those who have done this, retaining the stock tranny. what kind of clutch would you reccomend and yea I am going to stick with a b3 fitt stock, not a suzuki or anything. I saw heavy duty clutches on ebay for over a hundred and pricey ones called LuK, are these good? I figured if it costs 190-200 it must be for a reason? anyone?

Claude, which clutch you use really depends on how far you plan on going with the hp/tq.

well i want to be able to use the engine to its potential and i might turbo down the line but for now i just want to be able to have my bp running optimally with the festy trans. so i was looking at spec stage 1, or would a heavy duty exedy work? its cheaper, i know I should just drop the extra loot for the better clutch but if it isnt much of a difference then id just go with an exedy. anyway spec stage 1 was what i was thinking

Alright so today I will be working on getting things prepared for the swap, working on getting the vaf with an air intake, fabbing what needs to be fabbed,, ihave a thermo house coming so i dont have to change the upper rad hose. also i posted the egt on the feoa.net forums and have already gotten a lot of requests for parts. I am sellign the tranny to finance this swap i did want to swap out for the stronger one but for now i will just get a nice clutch and keep my festy trans, also i honest like the way my festy shifts better than the egt by far, it is nice and smooth, wghile the egt trans is stiff and rigid and harder to shift I guess itts that way for a reason but I prefer the festy one atleast for now. So I will be getting things moving and taking more pics for your enjoyment and hopefully have this engine in my car befor this month is over,,,the only thing holding me up is getting everything I need i feel that once I start the swap I will probably be able to do it in a weekend, atleats that is what I am planning for. I dont see why this is an unrealistic estimate due to all the planning and prep work Ill have been doing. so stay posted and I will update whenever I have progress made. thanks for looking again any tips are appreciated.

                          radiator

ok im putting in the auto radiator and want to know if i do need to plug up the two lines at the bottom or no...i have searched and heard both so which is it? plug it up or leave it? i dont want coolant leaking out and I have some extra jb weld so I could patch them up easily.

need a place to work..my parents keep yelling at me for having two pieces o' crap sitting outside, one was definitely enough for them,, not to mention I am trying to keep them from knowing I plan on swapping out my engine....lol it will be funny when my dad finally tries to help me fix the b3s sticky lifter only to find a bp staring at him...well at least i have an excuse to swap it out....

rofl, same thing happend to me.

was driving a 94 protege lx that my mom bought me and one day a 323 appeared in the driveway. the next morning the protege was gone and the 323 was running.

i'll never hear the end of it from her, and that was 6 years ago
