I'm not 100% sure on this,but Even thou the tyranny in the zx2 is a G-series i don't think the cases are the same. when i had my Z i broke the trans and went looking for a replacement. In my searches i think a ran across some info that trannys were internally the same but the case and bell housing were different. You may be able to swap the bell housing but you would need a doner G-series with with the right pattern...and if you had that you wouldn't need zx2 trans lol.Last edited by PhatnackyCobilerss; 06-16-2010, 07:54 AM.

yea zx2 trans would work , but newer zetec'ed fords use the mtx-75

when my trans finally goes BOOM then i think ill get a kia trans... but im not to sure yet... i may just go and get a egt hydro trans and convert to hydro clutch cause im gonna have to do that with the kia trans anyways... has anyone ever stuck the kia trans in a festiva?

Might want to invest in a Mfactory LSD, it may not be a big help in the straight line launches, but the improved differential would possibly save you some transmissions. Nice so far. :-)
