No you were great help of course it took a lot to get them unstuck I think the trick was the pb blaster and turning it by hand then cranking it with the injectors plugged in and using the torch to light the cylinders off - which gave a better shock then propane or starter fluid of course even though I was standing back I wound up singeing my mustashe and removing the hair from my forearm where the glove and sleave didn't quite cover

I know all the other methods were effective because it would crank better each time
And the lugging was it vapor locking when it didn't fire the fuel mix that's why on the fourth it finally built up enough to lug the starter

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I found on mine that it helped to have a larger ground cable than standard. Both at the battery and from motor to frame.

And let me say this I've been so frustrated on mine multiple times , but I always just work on something else (even on the same car) to distract me. Then go back to the first issue. It will all be worth it soon. Don't cuss it.....talk nice to it...... and it'll go right together.

Well I can get it to run now but it will only idle for five minutes even if its warm then it chokes and dies. Also if you turn it off or it dies its hell trying to get it to start back up. I installed the idle air bypass but that only smoothed out the idle and shortened the warm up time. The other issue I have is it will only run with the dusty turned to the Max adjustment turned all the way ccw. Oh and I burned up the engagement solenoid on he starter so I had to swap that.

Clue was that disto had to be turned CCW to get it to run.

Does the cam gear bolt on in multiple ways? Because the base timing marks line up perfectly the adjuster works properly and it has a new timing belt.

If it can then how do I make sure its bolted on correctly?

not to my knowledge, BUT, I have encountered both a mis-drilled cam AND a mis-marked pulley (two different cars, both Aspires).

Maybe retard the cam one tooth (assuming the dizzy is full CCW as viewed from the driver's fender), and see if it helps.

I will try that tonight - should I leave the dizzy full CCW? or adjust it back CW?
And just to double check when looking at the cam gear from the pass fender I should turn the cam gear one notch to the left?

another thing I tried was turning the Dizzy full CW and moving the plugs one spot around CCW - but it just backfired and popped

center the dizzy. Yes, one tooth CCW, as viewed from the passenger fender. that's about 12deg.

OK I tried that and it was no go. It would start right up with two teeth ccw and the dizzy full ccw but it wouldn't stay running but it would start right back up with it three ccw I had to have it at full cw
I also tried one and two teeth cw but no results.
I checked the timing mark alignment and the tdc Mark on the crank is accurate however when you position the can so both valves are closed on #1 the timing marks are a tooth off towards ccw

Overall the car is still not running after a week and a half of messing with it - I'm seriously at my limit of keeping this thing around since I haven't had a car now for two full weeks and its the only car I have to drive right now
