the alternate part number was completely different and wouldnt work..... now the 4 wd half shaft and the stub shaft will mate but the other part was to put a bf outer axle stub on and thats not gonna happen they wont even come close so back to the drawing board a what axle to mate to what ....this is what I ended up with ..

Well a lot of people were worried about the 4cyl diff not holding up to the KL either but I did it anyway, so I'll use the BF trans until I can afford custom axles to change the tranny to something stronger (not mazda)

Chris.... adapting a V6 to the BF AWD trans...

You'll be doing this when it pops

Stick with the BG trans, or find a different AWD trans to use... My 2¢
I really like the idea, but I really don't have any confidence in the BF trans holding that tq let alone if it was turbo

Ya your right it's no easy task for sure, but i'll be trying to adapt my KL to AWD (adapter plate, modifying tranny etc.), which i guess would be a step further then a BPT AWD swap lol

Glad to hear you got the right axle.... i'm actually going to be trading all my Protege AWD stuff for BF GTX stuff lol so i shouldn't have to swap any CV joints around to make it all work lol

ended up getting it from a online salvage company. I dished out the money because I couldnt find one anywhere else, I got it in the mail today and it fit perfectly now im on the search for the stub or a cv axle that will fit onto the half shaft
