That is incredible, I'll be using this thread for my upcoming build hopefully. Would you recommend doing the mounts like you did, I won't be using a jackshaft so I think that will eliminate the alternator problems you had. You have OCD, skills and funding, the recipe for an amazing car.

Thanks a lot ! The motor was degreased, powerwashed and hand scrubbed the best I could, then painted with high temp paint. Every chance I get I'll paint or switch out some old crusty hardware with a newer looking replacement, esp. in those areas you see the most.

Ive got a working model of the Fixed Engaging System Takeoff ( F.E.S.T. for short ). Now to build a sturdy, durable, pretty one.

fyi im thinking of doing a bp build. maybe someone could send me the bp swap buide from the n/a swaps sticky to joecampb3ll@gmail.com. I cant read it from the forum.
    anyways,
why did you have to use glue? I would imagine, using the stock timing belt cover from the escort would be the way to go?

Made a first prototype cable/hydro converter. It would sit above the cable. Worked good in a mock up, but needs refined. Vid below
