So any dyno runs as of yet? I'm really curious to see what the b3 is capable of N/A!

That is a big jump in tire size. I'm considering going to 165/50-14 next time for that reason.

But yeah if you think Capri brakes are "massive" check out the galant upgrade for them.
I already have a set of 14" wheels that I love and want to keep and have also been considering the Aspire transmission swap when I run across one.

Yes. Why do you think I switched to an aspire swap?

Is it over kill though? Cuz even the Capri size is considered over kill

They call it the vr4 swap even though you don't use the vr4 rotors...I believe you use the 266mm rotors which I think was 10.5" vs 10.2 for the xr2. But they are WAY thicker like at least 50% thicker maybe.

You turn down the hub ears on a lathe or grind them down, get longer studs for a b series pickup, and fit the rotor over the hub instead of behind. Then use an escort gt caliper.

They're truly huge for the festiva. Maybe I still have pics of mine.

This galant swap? Is it the vr4 I think I read a little bit about it... What all does it entail?

Well part of that is the gearing... The larger tires make it feel like you have no power cuz it's geared wrong.... The aspire transmission will fix that problem, yes you are adding unsprung weight with larger tire/rim and larger brakes... But it's all for a purpose, larger tire/rim gives better handling, better stability at higher speeds. Bigger brakes give you better stopping power, and cooler brakes. Like I said earlier my brakes actually work fine but I smelled my brakes after hitting them hard to not miss an exit on the highway.... That's not good at all considering I hot them hard but only for like a few seconds and they got hot that quick

Exactly.... Only issue would be technically it is a good idea to turn your rotors everything you put on new pads, but in this case these brakes are massive and I plan on running slotted rotors and good pads, so these brakes will probably have at least double the lifespan of stock brakes.

Plus you get bigger brakes and keep the festiva pattern. I am also looking at doing an aspire transmission swap which people dont understand either.... its for the differential ratio, the aspire ratio matches the tire size if you are running 14s so the speedometer is correct and will make acceleration way better.
X2 on every thing you said. How often do people change their rotors(Charlie not included)?

KIA Rio uses a cable f series. Heard nothing but good things about it.
