Thanks again Greg. I'm using single stage paint in the OEM color... Hot Red code E5. The paint was still a bit wet when I took the picture which may explain some of the shininess. I haven't been out to the garage yet today so who knows if it's still as shiny I'm hoping to get this installed tonight in time for Westiva.

Wow! Base, clear, or single stage? That's shiny. That trim will look sweet red

A bit more progress this evening. I hope to install the refurbished hatch tomorrow night...

Painted this bit of trim too...

I'll be doing mostly clean up and polishing the shiny bits. Oil change and A/C recharge too before we head for Westiva on Saturday morning.

Thank you sir! I've not done very much of this kind of work but I'm learning as I go. Hopefully the results will be good.

I appreciate all the encouraging comments. Just proves, again, what a supportive community we have here on ff.com!

First layer of fiberglass on today. Hoping to have at least the bumpers done in time for Westiva.

Still a shame that Grey VW wrecked his car, but great job so far at patching up your bumper, looks like its turning out great!!
