Lucifer gets new Turbo setup!

Lucifer loved the new plugs and wires! I have it running really good (FOR WHAT I CAN DO). I have the timing set. idle is around 1100 tho. The exhaust now has the cherry bomb welded in and sticking out of the fender. The cherry bomb really helped the sound a ton. It lots a bit of turbo noise but now my ears dont want to bleed.

Last night i was getting a wicked cut in power tho. If i stayed just under the cut in power it pulled nice n hard. Turns out i had connected the boost cut switch from the capri harness. I took that off last night but have not run it since then. I thought the stock b6t boost cut switch came on at 11psi. If so then my boost gauge is reading way off and i need to look at how its hooked up. The new turbo sounds good and it pulls pretty hard indeed. If the boost switch was my last issue im ready to go.

Im going to change out a wheel bearing tonight just to be safe tho. That and ill be bringing 2 more sets of bearings for the trip just in case. I will also have my tools and a full size spare tire (that may be to big). Anyway tonight is the last good day of tunning and getting ready. I should be good to go tonight tho!

Tonight Lucifer is getting all new plugs, and wires. I am getting ngk copper. I am gonna set the gap to .023" and try that out 1st. I have my timing set to 14° advanced. I found TDC on cyl 1 and put some nail polish on the pulley. The original mark was off quite a bit.

Last night i was getting a rough idle and no power. Once i got the car home i found out the spark was going around the boot and straight to the coil. Im not sure why. It could have been because i set the gap around .040. Im not sure really. ill know more tonight. I will swap coils if needed as i have several now!!! I

Tonight is new ngk spark plugs and wires. Ill try to get the fan mounted and connected the right way. Ill get the hood and the grill on tonight as well.

So i have a friend head to my house to start pulling my windshield tint off and that dumb A** pulled my door tint off the passengers side. So now i have to go back and have it re-tinted. I did get the tint off the front tho. MUCH better.

I had to ask william a few question on the car last night. I found out my spark gap was way to much. Then once i found that out i started to get bad spark jump at the coil. Tonight im gonna go get new plugs and wires and try again.

I found TDC and marked the pulley with paint. I then set timing just at the top of the timing mark bracket (14). I had my harbor freight gun set to 14 as well. That was with the vacuum assist plugged in.

I have my headlights and turn signals back in. I dont think ill have time to install my seats untill after the trip.

Im new to car tuning so this is tricky for me. I have a good understanding im just new at it. I can do the mechanic work all day long tho.

Where I used to live, I had some neighbors that complained a couple of times to my Land Lord while my exhaust was still stock but she told them to mind their own business lol.

My old neighbor used to call the cops on me for driving my STOCK Audi TT down my driveway! That car is so quite you can hardly hear it idle. He would just see my headlights turn on and call the cops. Got to the point that cops told him if he calls one one time over that car in my driveway they would give him a ticket! Not long after that he came out drunk with a baseball bat and was bitching at me over the audi. I recorded him on my phone and called the cops. He got charged with a felony for intimidation with intent. He later sold his house and moved. Only if he was around for Lucifer!!! Now all my neighbors are cool and like my toys!

I have never gotten a ticket for exhaust. Plenty of people around here with cars with bad or rusted out exhaust that sound like total crap. Actually was getting pulled over once and a truck went by that was so loud the cop stopped talking and just looked at him. The cop was just like DUMB A**. He didnt give me a ticket and didnt even go after the truck.

I dont think exhaust is that important in southern indiana.

I have never had a cop mess with me about exhaust noise. My Sentra is obnoxiously loud and I feel bad about leaving my neighborhood in the early hours of the morning but I don't feel like spending the money to fix it.

Just come to Michigan where the only rules are you have to have at least 3 and a half wheels and be able to go 70 mph.

Lucifer is alive! It runs and runs good. I had a low oil light come on that i had to deal with. It ended up being the oil sending unit was bad. So to get a new unit on i had to remove the intake manifold bracket. The sending unit was to close to the bracket with the t in place. I trimmed the bracket so that a long extension could be put in line of the sending unit. I now have my oil light off and a new ol sending unit along with my gauge.

The turbo seems good. Only went a couple blocks. Spun the tires in 1st when i wasn't trying to

As i was pulling back to my drive the front driver side sway bar came lose at the control arm. I guess i took the nut off and didn't remember it. I dont think any damage was done. It seems fine. Ill get that fixed tomorrow. Im done for the night.

Im very happy with the car tho.
