Because the hole spacing is to wide on the vw struts. It won't bolt to the festiva knuckle if it's not sloted up.
As for washer just one that fits.
Looks like your using festiva struts so yeah they'll bolt up problem is the damping is weak and you can't get much camber out of them before the knuckles hit the strut. Maybe 1.5 degree

I picked up washers to space the bearing and the hats and tomorrow and Tuesday I can slot the holes in a mill at my school

I'm just gonna run my coils with the aspire beam I don't have my old festie beam I might keep the beam on ømëgá tho

So I put my coils in and wide bodied the front a bit like 2" so I can keep it soft the girlfriend is very happy that it's not my cut springs that sound like a train crash over every bump
The Bondo work is far from finished but pa spring time hit half way through so it's been pouring all week once I finish the front the rear will follow suit then I'll have a wide body festiva

Check your toe measurement, a toe out condition tends to make it feel like it's easier to turn off center.

Ok to start my toe is perfect my suspension is all tight and snug everything seems perfect besides driving
So I'm having trouble
she sometimes wonders on the road like will randomly shoot to the right or left a little
she will turn hard left beautifully but turning right I need to turn way farther than it feels I should and it doesn't feel as tight
The wheel doesn't come all the way back straight by itself
Accelerating pulls to the right slightly but decelerating pulls to the left
All these problems point to a bad alignment but my camber and toe are great and caster is unadjustable so how could it be off really need help here I'm out of ideas
