Microsquirt can support 4 logic level (5v) coils iirc, so you should be able to have sequential spark. You'll need to start researching which coils to run. I know GM coils are pretty popular.

Ok update whole laundry list of things to do I have off from Today to Monday
I need to

Engine swap fuel rail, flywheel, tb, and trans

Clean up wiring as tucked as I can

Remake lower and upper rad supports have some nice 1/4 plate to use

Modify radiator outlet to the side

Find a lower rad hose

See if I can install my old electric fan new one doesn't move enough air

Test and tune

Worse comes to worse swap back to the old smokey bp

The Pep Boys near me let's me go into their hose isle out back and look for a hose to suit my custom application. You might be able to do the same thing.

I'll probably do that with the local auto parts store also I plugged all the wiring back in and all the grounds I was very careful about what I cut I fixed well everything works besides engine power no engine lights or starter signal

Update wiring works and is alot cleaner now started the lower rad support mod talk about a can of worms lol I have the passenger side mount almost done it connects the shipping hooks the bumper and a 1/4" plate ok the opposite side of the shipping hooks should be finished tomorrow

Ok lower rad support is done mounted from the 3 swaybar bolts the bumper bolts and the shipping hook bolts 1/4" plate and the boxed parts are hitch receiver tubing all together 30-50lbs of steel

It's part of the advanced suspension setup... The theory behind it is the lower rad support is were all the forward power is shoved, and that area has a nasty habit of flexing and that's not good for putting power down. So the fix is to reinforce that area so any torque applied is turned into forward motion.

Yeah I'm thinking my previous lower rad support modifications (which were terrible) was the cause of my torque steer I'm hoping this will fix that spent alot of time triple checking everything it make sure its right

wiring is done

Was moving parts from bp to new bp, and I noticed my clutch (which was original to the capri I got my trans from 140k) friction plate was worn to the rivets.. looks like I need a new clutch I dont have the cash to get center force so I got a $75 FX clutch (shameful but oh well) problem is clutch won't be here till the 6th so festiver is down and I'm driving a big gas guzzler lol

You might want to have your flywheel surfaced while your in there. It should be a little rough, like the surface of the pressure plate friction surface. If it's shiny and smooth, it'll glaze your new clutch disk.

Ah that will definitely need to be done when I got the flywheel it was already shiny actually had some heat oxidation spots too

Yeah, nows the time. Mic the pressure plate mounting face to friction surface distance before and after machining and compare to the service manual or the clutch manufacturer's suggestion. You can't always trust the machine shop to get it right.

Mic the distance? Like telescoping guage or guage pins? Also what would I look for in the service manual sorry I'm a bit slow here lol

Nvm rereading a few more times I understand what you're saying with the micing but where in the xr2 manual?

So what I've noticed is I'm redoing all of my previous work. This is why you do things right the first time. Oh well at least I can trust my updated work. Anyway the car is still on stands but the new engine is physically in the car engine mount is 99% done and the rear Trans mount is 90% done so my list is now
Finish engine/Trans mounts
Radiator mounts
Mount rad fans
New control arm(bad balljoint)
Then ya know put everything back together lol
