What's with all the threats? Isn't that against the rules here?
I'd love for a flock of festivas show up at my house or at the next party. You guys take things way to seriously. It was all in good fun, no one got hurt , and we are getting $120 from the scrap yard..... That means I made money. Great success.

My question is; if these cars are such rare collectors items, why didn't anyone snag it up before I did? I know for a fact the link to the craigslist ad was posted on here. I'm sure the seller would have gladly taken your money.

I would actually like to meet some of you guys, including the ones that wish my exsitence to be that of my festiva. I'm sure you'd change your mind about me, and if not then we can have some sanctioned event. Me vs festy purist owners if America. I'm sure it could raise enough money to buy a few festivas and donate them to charity.

All in all I was satisfied with my experience.

If I actually thought they were real they would not be allowed to be posted here. Do you actually think anyone is coming to hunt you down? I doubt it.

Just remember...coming here and posting things just to get a rise out of people is against the rules too.

Real mature. What do you gain by coming to a Festiva enthusiasts' forum and piss us off by being a cocky ***** and destroying one of our cars?

Well he was asking 600 for a car that had many problems. If he would have put a realistic price it would have been snagged quick. You could have invested a little money and a little time and sold it for quit a bit more than 120. But I feel it was your car you did what you wanted and you are happy (which is good). But why did you join the forum if you were not even keeping the car? Were you going to ask us how to fix it? Buy parts for it? Talk about enjoying festivas (or in your case destroying?) Just seems pointless.
Oh well. I say you stay here at the site. I don't feel like you meant to stir us up but only time will tell.

Well if your goal was to piss off a bunch of Festiva owners. You succeeded. If your further goal was to send us all into a seething rage with those pics. Congratulations buttmunch, you are teh winnah!

I had no idea their was such a following of the festiva. I was one of the guys that helped in the destruction of the little festy that megail owns. The whole idea was to get a $100 and destroy and the festiva fit the job perfectly. I was rather impressed by how well the motor held out but after about 15 minutes of redline it finally popped. I guess this is just what us dumb southern folk do on a Saturday night.

You know, I used to do things like that. Take a car that (you think) no one would care about and trash it. In fact, 10 years ago, I might have trashed a Festiva (I used to crack all kinds of jokes about them). But over the years I have found the old saying "one man's trash is another's treasure" to be the gospel truth. I'll put you down as one of those who are ignorant of a Festiva's worth to some and forgive you (even though you're not asking for, and there is no reason for you to accept, my forgiveness) so long as you promise never to do it again.

i doubt i'll do it to another festiva.
but it will be happening again, i know that for a fact.
we do have a cavalier lined up (i think even the j-body owners hate that car) and i'm working on finding a truck/suv of some sort.

if any of you were in my shoes, you would have done the same thing and i'm sure you would have enjoyed it.
