Well...my long legged big butt self can't fit in most of the cars mentioned except two and I love them both. First my dream car is a Mustang GT500 (any year) but since that doesn't fit the parameters I'd have to go with my F150. I love that truck and have had a blast getting her all powered up. 136k miles, still kicking and fairly inexpensive to work on. MPG stinks but outside of that not a bad ride.

If I had to pick a car other than Big Red, I would go with a Mini Cooper convertible--only the convertible though.

I thought I was the only one who remembered or liked the starlet. 1981 is my favorite...liked the boxy nose better, but the 83 and rare 84 had port fuel injection if I remember correctly..runners and all!

                  Mazda2

                  Mazda2
                  .
…. I do not know much about the new Mazda2, yet. As with most advertizing they say tech talk but it boils down to mostly what the eye can see or the answers are pretty obvious or some variation of what you would expect (as in how many people can ride in the car etc.). Not knowing a whole lot about this new car and, at this time, the internet is useless. It is starting to appear like this car might be a distant cousin to our Festiva. I don't know if you can REPACK the wheel bearings or not OR if you destroy them taking them off and replacing them with NEW ones? There are NO pics on the internet, that I have found, of under the hood either. I did see, I think, a European version very similar, I believe of last years model under the hood! No pics of the suspension system or the underside of the car, none of that. The car manufacturers don't want you knowing anymore than what is necessary to sell that vehicle. What I did see was a lot of plastic covering the engine in different forms and what appeared to be fiber or some type of high temp composite material for the manifold piping. Have no idea of what the life span of that piping would be or how rugged it is? In my many hours of reading, I am starting to get the feeling that this car MIGHT come close to the Festiva, I hope so. Also, there are a lot of similarities between this car and the Ford Fiesta, parts being interchangeable, etc. and so on. I look forward to a replacement to the Festiva that we can take care of and have some reliable pride in at a very affordable price.
                  .
                  Thanks
                  .

I'd like to change my nomination.. ZX3 or any Focus. Basically the modern day Festiva/Aspire. Seems to be roughly the same size!

Did you want a 2WD or 4X4 Mustang II? Seriously, if you need some parts let me know what you're looking for. I might have it. I think my dad buried several of the M-II's (literally dug a hole & buried them) but I think I still have a '74 V6/Auto thats complete, unless someone stripped it by now. My brother also has (2) '79 Mustang Pace Cars (non-drivers) and pallets of 2.3 turbo parts (early type w/carbs).

I hate to say I'm in love... if something was to happen to Festiva this will be it's replacement. Even though it's only under Hyundai they could almost call it a Kia Pride.
