  • i know its not hard or any thing massive but i have no clue what i am doing.....new car owner and all, BUT i took my Head Gasket off
    Omg a Dingo stole my festiva! Jks i own a 1993 red festy and its a damn Monster!

    • Well, then you also took the intake, exhaust manifolds, and head off, as well as disconnected the fuel system, partially (or full) drained the coolant, oil, or both.

      Not so insignificant now, is it?

          • considering the valve cover is on top of the head and as they saud said "I don't know what I'm doing, that's probably what they meant....

            • On an unrelated note I got very little accomplished on my water pump/ timing cover refresh.... basically doing each section of the engine as time and money allow....

                • You do know reason million and 6 that the festiva is the best car ever right? Drain plug, bottom of gas tank, drivers side.

                  • Yes, drain plug is IIRC a 17mm hexhead.
                    Drain that stuff out and drop it off to me at FMV.
                    I have need of waste fuel and oil.
                    Depend how long it has sat, you might want to pull the pump/sender assembly and give the bottom of the tank a good scrubbing. Then open the drain to flush out any accumulated crud. Just a thought.

                    • Painted and tinted the Aspire. Still need to tint the fronts, spray some black hammered along the rockers and the wheels. The Festiva is next with pretty much the same paint and tint.

                      • I got my reverse lights working with my V6 swap, first time my reverse lights have worked since I've owned the car lol

                        • Last night I welded up the lid to my custom battery box. I'm going to be moving it to the back soon to help with better weight distribution.
