Also... there's a big problem in fuel consumption... my little 1.3 car is 'eating' 12 liters per 100km minimum...:'( But it should be max 8l... I've replaced air filter, oil, fuel filter in motor section (I dont know whether there are another fuel filter in a fuel tank), spark plugs, ignition cables, lambda-probe (oxygen sensor). I cleaned fuel system also. All this actions gave a slight improved perfomance and reduced fuel consumption a little, but still...

Also I've detected, that if I'm pushing on accelerator while transmission is on neutral (getting 2000-3000 rpm) and releasing it, rpm is falling to 400-500 and then increasing to normal (700-800) and holding there. So I think there are may be some problems with injectors. I suppose, they are closing not fast enough, or there are a fuel leakage through them... I want to replace O-rings and injection insulators there... Will it give any effect? Can pressure regulator cause problems like this?
Engine doesnt consume oil, at least I havent noticed reducing of oil level.

What else may cause all those problems? My driving style is normal, I dont like to drive very fast.

Hope you'll understand what I've writed down here

P.S.> I would really appreciate, if you can tell me which injectors can I buy instead of original ones... Not from so rare cars like mine...

It's easier to say then to do... there are absolutely no parts for cars like mine... well, they are, but too expensive. For example, one new injector costs 250$, master brake cylinder - 600$ (now when you told me that Mazda 121's MBC will fit, I will get it only for 100$). It maybe cheap, but my monthly salary is around 200-250$, medium salary here is 400-500$

For example, parts for Russian cars (they're really bad ones, but still) costs around 10-40$, and everyone can get an injector from Lada-2107 for 30$ too bad it's incompatible

When it no longer runs, you can sell all the parts on this forum. Please do not scrap that car.

I hope it wont stop. At least for several years.

So, any ideas on how to fix big fuel consumption?

Wow, a English speaking Russian who has a festiva, just wow!!!.... Any idea how long i have spent trying to find one of those????????

There are lots of things that cause lost fuel mileage. but I'm not so good with conversions: liter vs miles per gallon.

#1 don't overlook the obvious... A leak. I have had leaking return lines that only leaked going down the road.

#2 Automatic transmission? Manual? Got a tachometer? Do you think it is lacking power?

#3 How does it roll? Find a "good" stretch of road (if you can), at normal driving speed put it in neutral and let go of the steering wheel (not completely, don't wreck), how far, and how well does it coast? If you have been having break troubles, air in the system could make the brakes hang up a little.

Injectors can be cleaned, but they are only 40-50 dollars apiece here, and we can send them to you for about 16 dollars.

                      12l/100km is approx 19mpg

It's manual... I will never use auto transmission. I dont like when my car is thinking instead of me

It rolls good, as far as I can find that out. At least I havent noticed that my breaks is stopping me when I'm not pushing brake pedal.

Injectors can be cleaned, but they are only 40-50 dollars apiece here, and we can send them to you for about 16 dollars.
Well, I will keep that in mind. But first of all I want to find out whether my injectors need to be changed.

                      Thanks for your reply

Maybe it's a stupid question, but in my own country people is saying that if I will use gasoline with 98 RON, I will burn out valves/pistons rings/coils (I dont know how to say that exactly on english)... Is that true? Because I dont want to harm my engine...

Ok, I just saw your RHD GT-X. I must say very nice and an excellent find. Welcome to the board and get us some pictures once the ice melts and you can get it clean again. I will bet it looks good.

About your fuel consumption question, pull the vacuum hose on fuel pressure regulator and see if it has gas in it. Just a thought...
