You don't want to prevent it if you want traction. The Festiva suspension is designed to flex and isolate the chassis from TQ fluctuations, while still allowing the suspension to travel in a natural rearward arc as it absorbs surface irregularities. In short, the festiva front suspension is an engineering marvel. Replacing it with A style control arms is like putting leaf springs on your 2016 mustang. The Festiva front suspension is a design used by cars such as the Porsche 911. The sway bar is tuned to work with the weight of the car. If you make this more rigid, you'll have inconsistent traction.
The part of the chassis that holds the sway bar can use some help though. That was designed for about 100ft.lbs of TQ. 300 ft.lbs is pushing the envelope a bit.
I wish we could mount a couple video cameras to Sonic to measure the front wheel deflection when Mike launches. I'm very interested in measuring that with over 250ft.lbs to the ground. I'd love to build a better front end, but it's hard to improve this design. I'd like to built drag links that absorb the TQ load like the stock sway bar does, but that's easier said than done.

A few of the guys have fitted BF A arms in and set up traction bars. Which lets you eliminate the sway bar.

Yea, I would do the lower rad support mod. It costs 25 bucks in steel, and ~10 bucks in welding wire. it is significantly more rigid than OEM.

Or just build the front end up

You better have some good body and front end mods to put that power to the ground

Exciting numbers! Here's to hoping you slap a 62mm beast on there just for wow factor.

I drove home turbo clankin. I've got something bigger in the works. [emoji48] 400whp sounds fun for this car. We know it's doable why not.....
